Body, gesture,
matter.
An exploration of transformation: the body, memory and the traces that gesture leaves in matter.
Holding a metamorphosis.
In Luca Alberti’s research, earth holds layers of the past and the possibility of new forms. Colours and surfaces evoke the experiences and encounters that shape identity. The sculptural gesture arises from instinctive perceptions, seeking to hold the moment when transformation is still unfolding.
The faces weave together people known and imagined, memories and future encounters. They emerge from the material, reaching towards others and upwards: presences that make continuous change visible.
